Digital Marketing News 7-19-2019: Omnichannel Marketing & Gen X Buying Habits
Watch this week’s TopRank Marketing digital marketing news with Joshua Nite (@NiteWrites) and Tiffani Allen (@Tiffani_Allen).
This week: Are Gen Xers going to use your mobile app? Oh well, whatever, never-mind. Also new features on LinkedIn and Twitter, and new research on omni-channel marketing and B2B partnerships.
• LinkedIn has rolled out a number of campaign conversion improvements and new brand awareness additions to its Campaign Manager. The updates are poised to enhance LinkedIn’s (client) objective-based ad platform goals.
• Most brands looking to drive growth view partnerships as a key factor, with 77 percent surveyed in a newly-released Forrester study seeing increasing value in brand partnerships, among other findings of interest to digital marketers.
• 56 percent of Gen X consumers find too much advertising on social platforms, and 42 percent don’t like brand social interaction, just two of several findings of interest to marketers in newly-released survey data from eMarketer.
• Twitter has been testing new functionality for its lists options, allowing users to make certain lists easier to access and to use pinning for both public and private lists, the social platform recently announced.
• Some 60 percent of marketers fail to take into account consumer expectations, while 95 percent see increasing expectations from customers — two of several findings of interest to digital marketers in new report data from Maropost.
Thanks for tuning in, and we hope you’ll join us again next week for a new episode of the TopRank Marketing weekly video news.
