Tantra: Macumba/A Place Called Tarot (1982)

Italian studio project Tantra, masterminded by Celso Valli, enjoyed a massive dance hit with Hills Of Katmandu, taken from their two-track LP by the same name, released in 1979. A 1980 mini-album Mother Africa followed, not yielding any hits of the same magnitude. Their third album was released in 1982, confusingly called II, and similarly to their first included two sidelong tracks, Macumba and A Place Called Tarot. I have added 1981 remixes of their tracks Top Shot and Get Happy, their two Spanish recordings and Patrick Cowley’s 1982 remix of Katmandu as bonus tracks.
